Our Story
Welcome to Clod Pots at Potty & Clod — a friendly, creative pottery studio in the heart of Exmouth, Devon.
Founded by local potter Chloe, the studio was born from a love of clay and the calm, mindful joy that comes with making by hand. What started as a few quiet evenings at the wheel has grown into a warm and welcoming community space, where people of all skill levels can come to relax, learn, and create.
At Clod Pots, pottery is more than just making pots — it’s about slowing down, connecting with others, and discovering the simple pleasure of working with clay.

Highly recommend being taught by Chloe! The studio is light and airy, and class sizes are small which is perfect for beginners. Sessions are well-structured and Chloe is very attentive, but she also lets you be autonomous in your work and supports your ideas. Chloe is someone you can always have a laugh with, so even if your hands are getting tired, it’s still fun! If you’re debating it, just go for it - you won’t regret it!!
